Frozen Tundra

I took this beautiful video footage quite a while back...early February. This was just the beginning of what would become one of West Michigan's most treacherous blizzard storms in history. You know Craig James means business when he uses words like "treacherous". In fact, you know they take their jobs seriously when they interrupt all programming for the latest report on the "treacherous" weather. Here's a snipet from a couple weeks ago,

"Good evening West Michigan. This is Bill Steffen reporting on what appears to be "treacherous" conditions. Thanks to the Storm Team 8 Forecast Center, we have the ability to provide the latest weather forecasting with the most superior technology in the world. First, we apologize for interrupting the final minutes of a very competetive and close matchup of your favorite college basketball team, however, you will have to tune in to the 11:00 news for the highlights. I will begin showing you the Live Doppler radar that clearly shows the snow storm developing over the lake. We believe that the current snow advisory will become a snow warning later this evening. Let's go to Matt Kirkwood who is reporting live from somewhere on Lake Michigan and balancing on a floating piece of ice...."

Again, that's just a snipet from StormTeam8, the snow advisory update continues for 20 minutes only to later interrupt, again, in another 20 minutes. So, that's Michigan for you. March is right around the corner...we expect more snow.
